ARB Threaded Socket Surface Mount (10900028)

If you have ever found your ARB Fridge Freezer's DC Power Cord disconnected or if you just sleep better at night knowing that your DC Power Cord is locked in place, ARB has available the Threaded Socket Surface Mount. This unit works together with the Fridge Freezer Screw-In 12/24v DC Power Cord to create a locked connection that will never come loose on the trail. An O-ring seals the unit to the surface and a tethered rubber bung seals the opening against water ingress. Fixing of the Surface Mount housing is via two screws (not supplied due to variation in surface and length requirements). Alternatively, the socket can be removed from the housing and flush-mounted for a very low-profile appearance that can look very "factory" in many vehicles.

The Threaded Socket Surface Mount is also part of the ARB Fridge Freezer Wiring & Threaded Socket Kit, which is a more plug-and-play way for the lay person to hardwire the ARB Fridge Freezer to his vehicle.

The Threaded Socket Surface Mount also fits the 12V power cord of the Engel Freezer Fridges without modification. The head of the Engel power cords unthreads into two pieces, with the front of the head looking like a standard 12V plug and the rear portion with two prongs and a threaded collar. Simply plug the rear portion of the head into the Threaded Socket Surface Mount and then turn the threaded collar to lock the plug in position. John uses exactly this combination to power his Engel 45 Freezer Fridge.
