When you fourwheel, you will eventually break a tire valve. In fact, probably 90% of your trail fixes will involve your tires. Replacing a broken tire valve previously meant removing the wheel and breaking the bead with a Hi-Lift Jack to enable installation of a replacement tire valve. Then you had to reseat the bead. Now all of that is a thing of the past.
The Colby Valve XL Emergency Tire Valve replaces broken tubeless valve stems on 5/8" (.625") valve holes. These are the larger wheel openings found on farm and construction equipment, commercial trucks, and wheels like the Land Rover Series and Defender 130 wheels that were designed for use with inner tubes.
Like the Colby Emergency Valves and Ultimate Valves, the XL Emergency Valve installs from the outside of the wheel. To install, simply insert the XL Emergency Valve into your wheel and then turn the nut with a 9/16" wrench or socket to compress and expand the XL Emergency Tire Valve, which will create an airtight seal against your wheel.
This product contains ONE XL Emergency Valve.
If you like, you can leave the Emergency Valve in your wheel for the lifetime of the tire, or you can reinstall a standard tire valve when you get back home.
