Edge Pro Apex Retractable Magnet (ARM)

The Edge Pro Apex Retractable Magnet fits under the blade table of the Edge Pro Apex Knife Sharpener and lets the user effectively magnetize it to hold a knife blade stationary and stabilize it during sharpening. This is especially helpful:

• to beginners who are still learning how to use the Edge Pro Apex
• to users with weak or arthritic hands
• when sharpening swords or very large knives
• when sharpening large quantities of knives in long sessions

You may find knife shapes or sizes where the magnetism will be a hindrance rather than an aid. Or, you may want to eliminate the magnetism when cleaning the blade table of steel grounds after sharpening. If so, simply pull down on the knob to retract the magnet downward and away from the blade table and eliminate any magnetism. 

Whenever you want magnetism again, simply press up on the knob and push the magnet back to the blade table to magnetize it. There are no tools required. Simply use the magnet when it's helpful and lower the magnet when it's not.

Installing the Edge Pro Apex table magnet accessory on new machines is very simple. The housing press fits (tightly) under the Apex's blade table. For older models, you may have to replace the leg screws (included) to make room for the magnet.

This magnet fits only the Edge Pro Apex and does not fit the Edge Pro Professional Model.
