The Expeditionware Female DOT Brake Hose is a four-layer design, with a spiral black plastic layer protecting the clear plastic layer against abrasion. The clear plastic layer protects the braided stainless steel layer against the elements. The braided stainless steel protects the Teflon inner core and reinforces it against high pressures. End fittings are tightly crimped in place and covered with a polymer reinforcing sleeve. The Female DOT Brake Hose meets all DOT standards and is street legal. This hose is a direct replacement for the factory female brake hoses on the Range Rover Classic, as well as the two front brake hoses on the Disco1. All threads on the fittings match those of the factory Land Rover factory brake hoses. No adapter or other vehicle butchery is required for a proper installation. The Female DOT Brake Hose measures 21" long from tip to tip. Sold individually.
