The GSI Outdoors Outside Inside Travel Basecamp Magnetic Chess/Checkers Set is a travel chess and checkers set with a folding board and magnetic chess and checkers pieces that store and transport within the folding board so that they do not get separated and lost.

Both the chess and checkers pieces are made of plastic, but have small magnets impregnated within them so that they adhere to the board. The magnetic attraction is just right and holds the pieces securely while playing in the car, on a rickety camp table, or in windy conditions, but is not so heavy that lifting pieces off the board is heavy or annoying. The chess pieces have felt bottoms if you are in the habit of gliding them across the board. The checkers pieces are plastic on both sides so that the two-piece stack of kings will stay adhered as you lift them from the board to make moves. Both the chess and checkers pieces are black vs. white.

The folding board measures 9.5" x 9.5" x 1" when unfolded for play. The squares are black and gray.

The carry bag is made of orange ripstop nylon, and the entire package measures about 11" x 5" x 2" and weighs just under one pound.

Rudimentary chess and checkers instructions sheet is included, and stays within the folding board with the game pieces.
