GSI Outdoors RAKAU Tongs (46123)

The GSI Outdoors RAKAU Tongs are cooking tongs made entirely of beechwood, so they are safe for use with nonstick cookware, seasoned ironware, and enamelware. The beech is beautiful to behold and a delight to use because wood is a natural insulator that will never feel cold or hot to your hands. The tongs are 12" long but weigh only 2.3 oz.

Because there are no hinges, springs, or crevices, the RAKAU Tongs are very easy to clean in the field. Simply wash with soap and water and let dry. The RAKAU Tongs come with an oil finish from GSI. You can continue to use the tongs in their factory state or oil them further with a food-safe oil like Opinel Maintenance Oil to protect the wood against water intrusion, warping, and food stains.
