The Kermit Chair Co. Kermit Wide Kermit Table is a wider and deeper version of the original Kermit Table.
The Kermit Table and Wide Kermit Table differ only in dimensions. The Kermit Table's height is 12" and the tabletop area is 14" x 12". The Wide Kermit Table has the same 12" height, but the tabletop area measures 21" x 16". So the Wide Kermit Table is the same height, but 7" wider and 4" deeper than the standard Kermit Table. Please look at the comparison photos and you will see that the Wide Kermit Table is big enough for a couple to use for lunch while the Kermit Table is large enough for a couple to use for drinks.
Other than dimensions, both Kermit Tables are the same. Both are lightweight, portable, and elegant camp tables that assemble, disassemble, and transport in the same way. Both pair with the celebrated Kermit Chairs in height, construction, and style. Both tables are handmade in Tennessee of white oak that is double-dipped (not sprayed) in marine-grade polyurethane, which penetrates into the pores and end grain of the white oak in a liquid state and then dries into a solid to offer a lifetime of protection.
Both tables easily and elegantly disassemble into seven pieces that fit into an included black 1000 dernier nylon carry bag. When disassembled and placed into the carry bag, the Kermit Table mesures 16" x 6" x 4" and the Wide Kermit Table measures only six inches longer at 22" x 6" x 4". The Wide Kermit Table's packed dimensions very closely match the packed dimensions of the Kermit Chair, so it will store and transport very well with the Kermit Chairs.
Both the Kermit Table and Wide Kermit Table are excellent, as is the popular Snow Peak My Table, which measures 18" x 13" x 16" when opened. The My Table stands slightly taller than the Kermit Tables and is easier to set up. However, the My Table is considerably larger when stowed than the Kermit Tables because it merely folds while the Kermit Tables disassemble. The My Table is also made of bamboo and aluminum rather than Tennessee White Oak, and some people think it pairs better with the Kermit Chair because it feels more improv and looks less matchy-matchy standing beside the Kermit Chair. You can't go wrong with any of these baby camp tables to use with your Kermit Chairs.
