The Snow Peak Cutting Board Set L provides a convenient cutting board for your Iron Grill Table (IGT) system, as well as a safe and convenient way to transport the included Santoku kitchen knife. When open, the raw wood cutting board drops into the Iron Grill Table frame and takes up one IGT unit. When closed, the wood acts as a case for the knife. The Santoku is held magnetically to the wood so that the knife will not accidentally drop out if the wood is opened at an awkward angle. The Santoku blade is stainless steel and 6.5" long, which is more than large enough for the vast majority of field cooking tasks. The wood also features four feet that enable the cutting board to be used as a standard cutting board on any tabletop or other flat surface.
The Cutting Board Set L comes unfinished in plain wood. You can continue to use it in its unfinished state or oil it with a food-safe oil like Opinel Maintenance Oil to protect the wood against water, warpage, and food stains.
