The Snow Peak Large Fireplace Cast Iron Charcoal Bed fits into the Snow Peak Pack & Carry Fireplace Kit and is designed to optimize the burning of charcoal by getting free-flowing air under the charcoal. Charcoal placed inside the Fireplace without the Charcoal Bed would collect at the bottom and not burn efficiently. Charcoal sits on the Charcoal Bed and is raised off the Fireplace's floor, improving air circulation and combustion. The Cast Iron Charcoal Bed is also suitable for holding a Dutch oven or pot inside the Fireplace. When cooking with wood over the raised grill bridge, the Cast Iron Charcoal Bed can also raise your wood to be closer to your food. Constructed of cast iron, the Charcoal Bed is capable of withstanding the very high heat of charcoal fires and campfires without warping. The Large Fireplace Cast Iron Charcoal Bed measures 12" x 12" x 0.8" and weighs 9.3 lbs.
