Called "Nylon Turner" in Japan, the Snow Peak Nylon Spatula is equally suitable for any kitchen, whether field or home. The blade is raked and constructed of black nylon to prevent scratching the non-stick coating or seasoning on your cookware. The the handle is stainless steel with two bamboo flats riveted on top and bottom to give the shaft a shape that is comfortable and alluring to the hand. In addition to being environmentally friendly, bamboo is considerably stronger than traditional table woods like maple (bamboo is technically grass rather than wood, but most people think of wood when they see bamboo). Bamboo is also warm to the touch and very beautiful. The tail end of the stainless shaft is hooked to enable hanging the spatula during field use where cooking and tabletop space are limited. 13.5" length.

The Serving Spoon is part of Snow Peak's line of field kitchen utensils with hooked handles to permit hanging to minimize use of tabletop space and permit hang drying. This family of utensils includes:

  • Snow Peak Bamboo Spatula
  • Snow Peak Nylon Ladle
  • Snow Peak Nylon Spatula
  • Snow Peak Serving Fork
  • Snow Peak Serving Spoon

The construction and styling of the Nylon Spatula are identical to that of the Snow Peak Nylon Ladle.

Different people like different styles of spatulas. If you prefer the "hard" style of spatula, look at the Snow Peak Bamboo Spatula, which is constructed entirely of bamboo and has no rake angle on its blade. Also available is the GSI Outdoors RAKAU Spatula, which has a square blade and is made from beechwood.
