Titanium has low thermal conductivity, no metallic smell or taste (unlike aluminum or stainless steel), will not corrode or stain when left wet or exposed to acidic liquids or foods (unlike aluminum and stainless steel), is very strong and scratch-resistant (unlike aluminum), and will not break or melt (unlike plastic).
