The Snow Peak Carry-on Chopsticks L are the "large" size chopsticks and measure 9" in length when assembled. The chopsticks disassemble like miniature pool cues, and the wooden tips nest inside the handles for easy transport and compact storage. A key difference between these and previous Snow Peak designs is the square cross-section of the handles. The older Snow Peak chopsticks had cylindrical handles and were terrible to use. (There is a reason good pencils are hexagonal in cross-section rather than round.) These chopsticks handle just like any other good chopsticks, but take down for compact storage and transport. The tips are constructed from bamboo while the handles are made of stainless steel. The assembly hardware is solid brass. When disassembled, the chopsticks measure 5" long. The included red nylon carry case measures 5.5" long and includes a neck strap. 49g total weight for chopsticks and carry case.
An alternative to the Carry-On Chopsticks L is the PRIMUS Campfire Chopsticks, which break down in a similar manner but have an all-wood construction for those who prefer that look and feel.

Like Korean-style steel chopsticks, the tips of the Titanium Chopsticks are thin and round while the rear parts that contact the hand are ovalized. The oval sections are very alluring to the hand and provide good control and easy grip. If you know how to use chopsticks, you could disintegrate a block of sushi rice one grain at a time with these chopsticks and never get hand fatigue or hot spots. And these chopsticks will never roll on your bowl, plate, or tabletop because of their oval shape.
