Old Man Emu Rear NitroCharger Sport Shock (60147)

These Old Man Emu 60147 Rear NitroCharger Sport shocks are designed to be fitted to the rear of all Discovery Series Is, Range Rover Classics, and Defenders that have been lifted with Old Man Emu Springs and fitted with the Old Man Emu FK64 Rear Shock Mount Fit Kit.

The 60147 shocks are a special-application item that ARB designed at the request by 4x4 Grand Dragon Bill Burke.  The 60147 shocks have the same length and valving as the Old Man Emu 60039 Rear NitroCharger Sport Shocks, but the 60147 mounts are stud-to-stud just like the Old Man Emu 60037 Front NitroCharger Sport Shocks.  Thus, a vehicle fitted with 60147 rear shocks and 60037 front shocks have all four shocks mounted to the vehicle in the same way (stud-to-stud) and take a common field replacement in case of shock breakage in the wild.  In other words, a single spare shock (one of your old front shocks is ideal) may be fitted to all four corners of the vehicle, and vehicle spares are greatly reduced and simplified because there is no longer a need to carry two different styles of spare shocks.

These 60147 shocks are longer than factory to pair with the taller Old Man Emu coils.  The NitroCharger Sport shocks are firmer and offer greater stability and control over a larger range of weight capacities than past NitroCharger designs.  Consequently, we recommend that even unladen vehicles be fitted with the NitroCharger Sport shocks for best overall performance.

All hardware and bushings required for proper installation are included.  The shocks are sold individually, so order two for your rear axle.

You must have the Old Man Emu FK64 Rear Shock Mount Kit fitted to your vehicle to use these rear shocks.  These 60147 shocks will not fit the standard Land Rover rear shock mounts (which accept an eyelet mount rather than a stud).
