The Snow Peak Takibi Hearth Starter Set is a vertical grill that sits on top of the Snow Peak Takibi Fire & Grill Pack & Carry Fireplace Kit and includes:
  • Folding Hearth Grill
  • 2x Skewer Stands
  • 4x Skewers
  • Hook Tool
The Takibi Hearth resembles a folding charcoal starter, but has mesh walls to let the heat radiate outward.  The Takibi Hearth hooks into the four corners of the Takibi Fireplace and stands vertically.  To use, place wood or charcoal into the Takibi Hearth and light it using the Snow Peak Folding Torch or other fire starter.  The two skewer stands clip to the walls of the Fireplace, and the four skewers insert into the skewer stands and lean against the hot Takibi Hearth.

To handle the skewers next to such a hot heat source, a J-hook tool is included.  Alternatively, you can handle the hot skewers with tongs like the Snow Peak Fire Tongs.  People sensitive to high heat will probably want to wear protective gloves like the Snow Peak Fire Side Gloves.

When not in use, the Hearth folds flat and the skewers and skewer stands come apart for easy cleaning, storage, and transport.  All of the pieces of the Takibi Hearth Starter Set can store and transport in the canvas carry case included with the Takibi Fire & Grill Pack & Carry Fireplace Kit for added convenience and organization.
