ARB Air Compressor Pump Up Kit (171302V2)

ARB has released a Version 2 of the Air Compressor Pump Up Kit that replaces the old version. This Version 2 has a slightly different hose that is longer, a quick-detach coupler, and a greater variety of output fittings.

The ARB Air Compressor Pump Up Kit contains a unique, high heat tolerant hose specially sourced in Japan. The special hose is 23 feet long (5 feet longer than the previous version) to enable reach to all four of your tires, and the hose is much more compact than those stretchy "coilhose" style of air hoses. Fiber reinforcements inside the hose prevent kinking and add strength (150 psi working pressure).

A quick-detach air coupler lets you connect and disconnect the hose from your ARB Air Compressor quickly and easily, and a new rubber dust cover prevents contamination of the coupler by water or dirt. The rubber dust cover is is tethered to the coupler so that it does not get lost. A 1/4 NPT T-fitting is also included for routing of your air line or coupler.

For the output end of the air hose, there are included:

• Quick-connect tire inflation chuck that is easily clipped onto tire valves and just as easily released
• Quick-connect tire valve adapter for high-flow applications (such for re-seating tire beads with the tire valve core removed and the onboard air system at maximum)
• Additional tips for inflating air mattresses and footballs/basketballs

The 1/4 NPT quick-detach coupler included with this kit will thread directly into the output of the ARB CKMTA12 Twin Air Compressor for the simplest and most compact onboard air system. Alternatively, you can install a ARB 4-Liter Aluminum Air Tank between the air compressor and your hose coupler to have a reserve of one gallon of air with you at all times (which will make your air compressor cycle less frequently and give you more blasting power when blowing out air filters in the field with an air gun or re-seating broken tire beads).

Approximately 90% of trail fixes will involve tires. And nearly all fourwheeling involves deflating and inflating tires. So having an onboard air system on your 4x4 is mandatory. Acquire the tools and skills to perform tire repairs and you will be well on the way to becoming a compleat offroader.
