Snow Peak Long Titanium Spork (SCT-014)

The Snow Peak Long Titanium Spork is an ultra-lightweight hybrid tool that can be used as a spoon or fork, and the curved edge can also be used to cut softer items. The Long Titanium Spork measures 8" long (1.5" longer than the standard Snow Peak Titanium Spork) so that the user can reach into deep packaged meals like MREs or Mountain House without getting food on his hands. The only difference with the standard Titanium Spork is the length of the handle, and the bowl and tine shapes of both sporks are identical.

The Long Titanium Spork represents a double weight reduction, as titanium is substantially lighter than stainless steel, and one need carry only one utensil rather than two or three. More important than weight is titanium's suitability for utensil construction. Titanium has no metallic smell or taste (unlike aluminum or stainless steel), will not corrode or stain when left wet or exposed to acidic foods (unlike aluminum and stainless steel), and is very strong and will not melt (unlike plastic).
