ARB Brushless Single Motor Onboard 12V Air Compressor (CKBLA12)

The revolutionary ARB Brushless Single Motor Onboard 12V Air Compressor features a brushless electric motor, a built-in fan for active cooling, cutting-edge smart technology, and a whopping 50% increase in air output compared to the excellent and proven ARB Single Motor Onboard 12V Air Compressor (CKMA12).  ARB Brushless Air Compressors are compatible with ARB’s existing range of onboard air accessories and hose kits, and ARB Air Lockers, making upgrading your current air system super easy.  All wiring, switches, and mounting hardware necessary for proper operation are included.

The top of the CKBLA12 has four outputs and is nearly identical to the ARB Air Locker Manifold Kit, which is a small air tank with multiple ports that enables easy installation of two ARB Air Locker solenoids and a standard 1/4" NPT thread that accepts the ARB Air Compressor Pump Up Kit for inflating your tires.

The Brushless Single Motor Air Compressor measures a very 5.5" x 8.3" x 3.5" to fit into tight spaces.

The ARB air compressors with brushed motors are far from obsolete.  They are excellent units that have been proven after many years of hard use all around the world.  While the brushless air compressors offer 50% more air output, keep in mind that the brushless units cost about 50% more.

The CKBLA12 is a very capable unit, but go with the bigger and more capable CKBLTA12 Twin Motor Onboard 12V Air Compressor if you have the room or if you want to inflate large amounts of large tires.  The CKBLTA12 is basically two CKBLA12 units combined together and fitted with for larger output and a 100% duty cycle.

Probably the simplest and easiest onboard air system for your vehicle is to pair your ARB air compressor with the ARB Air Compressor Pump Up Kit.  The output end of the air compressor threads to the Pump Up Kit's quick-connect air coupler, which accepts the air hose, which accepts the inflation fitting, which connects to your tire valves.  Everything is plug and play and very simple and intuitive.

If you desire even greater performance, you can pair your ARB Air Compressor with the ARB 4-Liter Aluminum Air Tank to have about a gallon of compressed air always at the ready for tasks such as seating tire beads or heavy air flushing with a blowgun.

Approximately 90% of your trail fixes will involve tires.  And nearly all fourwheeling involves deflating and inflating tires.  So having an onboard air system on your 4x4 is mandatory.  Acquire the tools and skills to perform tire repairs and you will be well on the way to becoming a compleat offroader.
