The Snow Peak Takibi Solo Pack & Carry Fireplace SR is a half-sized version of the popular Snow Peak Takibi Fire & Grill Pack & Carry Fireplace and is considerably smaller and easier to transport in your field kitchen or carriers like the the ARB 4x4 TrackPack or MSA 4x4 Rear Wheel Rubbish Bin without fear of overloading those trash containers or putting too much weight on your cargo door hinges. Transport size is 18" x 10" x 3" and weight is 10 lbs. Note the weight, which is only very slightly heavier than the 8.5 lbs. weight for just the Snow Peak Large Fireplace Cast Iron Charcoal Bed for the Takibi.
Like its big brother, the Takibi Solo has a folding fire pan to hold wood and charcoal, as well as a baseplate to catch ash and food drippings. However, the Takibi Solo disassembles into four pieces for storage and transport rather than folding in the origami manner so familiar to Takibi users.
Takibi Solo is constructed entirely of stainless steel for corrosion resistance and easy clean-up, but it will discolor and patina with use (which is a good thing to most people) and will only get better with age.

Takibi Solo is a cooker as well as a fire pan, and the top of the legs will accept the Snow Peak Grill Stainless Half Pro and Snow Peak Grill Plate Half Deep Depth.
To start the wood or charcoal fires for your Takibi Solo, look at the Snow Peak Folding Torch. The Folding Torch will even nest inside the Takibi's Solo's transport bag for very tight storage and transport, and also to ensure the Folding Torch never always stays with the Takibi Solo and does not get separated.
To facilitate handling of the Takibi Solo and its very hot fuel, Snow Peak has available its Fire Side Gloves. The Fire Side Gloves are constructed of leather and have gauntlets that extend well beyond the wrist to protect you from the heat, sparks, and embers of burning wood and charcoal. The gloves have a beautiful brown color that will darken and only get better with age. The dark navy fabric liners are secured with Velcro and are removable for washing.
In addition to the Fire Side Gloves, SnowPeak has available specialty tools for handling very hot fires. The Snow Peak Fire Tool Set Pro consists of a shovel, poker, tongs, and heavy-duty canvas case. The tools make tending your fires much easier and the case keeps the tools handy.
